He is survived by: his spouse June Gesner (Howes); his son Thomas Gesner III; his wife Marianne of Dedham, MA; his daughter Carolyn Teclaw (Charles) of Glouce; his brother George L. Gesner of Somerset, MA; his grandchildren, Lauren Outerson, Kathryn Gesner, Robert Cannon and Charles Teclaw; and his great grandchildren, Austin Cannon and Florence Outerson.

Memorial donations may be made to the Portsmouth United Methodist Church.
