With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Wemett (Fitchburg, Massachusetts), who passed away on December 3, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Sawchuk and Olga Sawchuk; her husband Paul Wemett; and her siblings, Greg Koval, Wayne Sawchuk (Annette) and Barbara Hacunda (George).

She is survived by: her daughters, Tracy Wemett Potter (Cory Potter), Robin Stewart and Marie Wemett; her grandchildren, Brittney Hamm (Vince), Benjamin Potter (Bailey), Clair Potter (Matthew Doerksen) and Katherine Stewart; her great grandchild Samson Hamm; and her brother Brian Sawchuk (Sue). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Brandon Funeral Home (305 Wanoosnoc Rd, Fitchburg, MA 01420). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the CambridgePort Baptist Church (459 Putnam Ave, Cambridge, MA 02139).
