He was predeceased by: his son Philip W. Mahoney; and his parents, Philip J. Mahoney, Sr. and Mary M. Mahoney (O'Connor). He is survived by: his wife Winifred Mahoney (Hopkins) of Fitchburg; his sons, Timothy J. Mahoney of Somerville and David J. Mahoney of Cambridge; his daughter-in-law Nicole Mahoney (L'Ecuyer); and his granddaughters, Mary E. Mahoney and Elizabeth J. Mahoney of Fitchburg. He is also survived by three nieces, a nephew, and several cousins.
