He was predeceased by: his parent Joseph James; and his brother Joseph Doppman. He is survived by: his parent Hazel Doppman (White); his wife Alice B. Doppman; his children, Terry M. Major, Joey Major, Caitlyn Kinder, Alec Doppman, Samantha Preston, Benjamin Preston, Katie Dunn, Rachel Allanach, Jennifer Bontempi and Jaimilee Bontempi; his brothers, Richard (Jackie) and John; his significant other Claudette; and his sister-in-law Gloria. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Baystate Hospice, 50 Maple Street, Springfield, MA 01199.
