He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Cranston and Angeline Cranston (Barrett); and his siblings, Augusta, Hannah, Donald, Albert "Jocko", Phillip, Claude, Murdock and Kenneth.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Cranston (Shore); his nephew Sean; his friend Jimmy Montagnino; his daughter Kelly Cranston Favazza; his brothers, Robert and Bernard "Bernie"; and his sister-in-law Barbara Cranston.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Wellspring House, 302 Essex Ave., Gloucester, MA 01930.
