It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David J. Simon Sr. (Gloucester, Massachusetts), who passed away on February 6, 2019, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his spouse Marilyn Simon (Shorts); his parents, Joseph Simon and Mary Simon (Moses); and his siblings, Thomas, Earl, Joseph, Sally and Anne.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ann Straccia (Wesley Dunn) of Everett, Joseph Simon (Suzanne) of Newbury, David Simon (Jody) of Salem, NH and Paul Simon (Fran) of Gloucester; his siblings, Edward Simon (Dorothy) and Cecelia Simon of Gloucester; his grandchildren, Vincent Straccia, Brian Straccia, Paul Simon, Jr., Kyle Simon, David Simon, William Simon, Joseph Simon and Tracey Lane (Richard); and his niece Elizabeth Phillips of Gloucester. He is also survived by many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
