With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leonardo Taormina of Gloucester, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 23, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francesco Taormina and Stefana Taormina (Viviano); his parents-in-law, Giuseppe and Marianna Giordano; and his siblings, Ninfa Ciaramitaro (Vito) and Salvatore Taormina.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Taormina (Giordano); his children, Stephanie (Antonio Delisi), Anna (Tom Canillas), Phyllis (Chris Palazzola), Leonardo Jr. (Brenda Taormina) and Frank (Kellie Taormina); his grandchildren, Daniella Delisi (Frankie Numerosi), Joseph Delisi, Kerryann (Jeffrey Moore), John Canillas, Amanda (Joao De Freitas), Anthony Palazzola, Joey Palazzola, Leonardo Taormina III (Rachel Davis), Emily Taormina (Tommy Burnham), Colby, Molly, Katelyn and Adam Taormina; his great grandchildren, Juliette, Leo Numerosi, Daisy Moore and Joao De Freitas; his brothers, Nick Taormina (Angela), Joseph Taormina (Josephine) and Peter Taormina (Diane); and his parents-in-law, Maria Taormina, Giovanni, Nuccia Gucciardi, Salvatore and Franca Ventimiglia.
His visiting hours will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St., Gloucester on Wednesday, May 26 from 4-7 p. m. Family and friends are cordially invited and are expected to wear masks and social distance. His mass will be held privately.
