He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustin Arsenault and Rosella Arsenault (Gaudet); and his brothers, Joseph Arsenault (Ray), Robert Arsenault, Francis Arsenault and Ralph Arsenault.

He is survived by: his wife Jacquelyn Arsenault (Tracy); and his sister Anne Arsenault of Methuen, MA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Melvin's name to the Veteran's Services c/o City Hall, 9 Dale Ave, Gloucester, MA 01930.
