She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Burke and Emma Burke (Moeller); and her cousin Patricia Chambers. She is survived by: her husband Alvaro Lopes of Gloucester; her children, Luiza Contonio (Jeffrey) of Gloucester and John-Robert M. Lopes (Joan) of San Antonio, TX; and her grandchildren, Michael, Adam Contonio, Serena and Jesse Lopes.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to Cape Ann Veterans Services, City Hall, 9 Dale Avenue, Gloucester, MA 01930.
