With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis E. Cognato of Gloucester, Massachusetts, born in Beverly, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 11, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Cognato; her parents, Victor Johnson and Esther Johnson (Young); her son Michael Cognato; and her siblings, Mary Johnson, Carol Vaccaro and Robert Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Victoria Batson (Ronald) of Gloucester and Antonio Cognato (Donna) of Tewksbury; her grandchildren, Amanda Batson of Gloucester, Joshua Batson (Crystal Costa) of Gloucester, Christina Bridges (Adam) of Medway, Nicholas Cognato (Krystal Brooks) and Taylor Cognato; her great grandchild Theodore Bridges; her niece Christine Generazzo; and her friend Ruth Katsikas.
