He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Sloane and Vera Sloane (Taplinger); and his sister Barbara Sloane. He is survived by: his children, Daniel Sloane of Portland, OR, Emily Sloane (Saleh Darwish) of Rockport and Amanda Sloane of Portland, OR; and his grandchildren, Yusif and Ezra.
