He was predeceased by: his parent Simon J Briand; his sister Elaine Briand Silva; his niece Denise Simon; and his nephews, Robert Simon and Christopher Akerley.
He is survived by: his parent Olivia L. Briand (Lima); his son-in-law John; his wife Jean N. Briand of Gloucester; his daughters, Wendy Briand Madden (John) of Danvers and Robin Briand of Gloucester; his grandchildren, Nicholas Cognato and Taylor Cognato; his nieces and nephews, Amy Leigh Baker, Lisa Simon George, Richard, Thomas, Stephen and Mark Simon; and his sister-in-law Judith Akerley. He is also survived by many great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
