He was predeceased by: his parent John H. Matheson; and his grandparents, John Matheson, Margaret Matheson, Waino Niemi and Jennie Niemi.
He is survived by: his parent Doris Matheson (Niemi) of Gloucester; his siblings, Sharon L. Matheson (Stephen Frisbee) of Rockport and Michael J. Matheson of Gloucester; and his close friend Cyndi Reynolds of Hoodsport. He is also survived by his aunts, uncle, and cousins.
