He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Captain Augustus and Frances Demetri (Parisi); his wife Susanne Demetri (Pico); his children, Michael Demetri, Denise Alves (Chris), Donna Demetri-Friedman, Nicole Tosi (Anthony Tosi) and Toni Eimicke (Kris Eimicke); his grandchildren, Matthew Alves, Marc Alves, Sophia Friedman, Luca Tosi, Monica Tosi and Mabel Eimicke; his sister-in-law Jane Demetri; and his brothers, Nicholas, Phillip and Emmanuel.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Holy Family Parish or Gloucester Health Care Nursing Home Activities Program.
