He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Purrington and Hazel Purrington (Wiswald); his adoptive parents, Henry Sjoberg and Carrie Sjoberg (Allen); his wife Dorothy Sjoberg (Wojnarowski); his brothers, Everett Purrington and Carl Purrington; his son Wayne Sjoberg (Laurie); his grandchild Jacob of Molly, Emma; his children, Katie and Jeffrey; his grandchildren, Sarah, Aaron and Petra; his daughter Debra Paul (Mark); his grandchildren, Bryn and Reid of Vermont; his children, Gail Lane (Tom) of Florida and Dale Sjoberg (Linda); his grandchildren, Glenn and Nathan of Millbury; his daughter Laurie Sjoberg of Las Vegas; his sister Shirley (David); and his sister-in-law Gerre Wojnarowski of Las Vegas.
