He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Jessica Jackman; his siblings, Ernest Balser, Edward Balser, Mary Ruseckas and Gertrude (Balser); and his parent Pauline Balser (Lambutis).
He is survived by: his wife Carol Balser (Beahn); his children, Raymond F. Balser, Jr. (Melanie), Cynthia M. Jordan (Skip), Patricia A. Jackman (Ken) and Diane E. Fleming (Butch); his grandchildren, Raymond Balser, Andrea Balser, Lisa Hanley, Skip Jordan, Chris Jordan, Kenny Jackman, Nick Jackman, Joshuah Fleming and Kyle Fleming; his great grandchild Alanna Jessica Jackman; and his parent John P. Balser. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
