He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Jane Elizabeth Hanley of Hanover; his children, James (Sharon) of Malden, Maureen (Phil Lynch) of Falmouth, John (Susan) of Sarasota, FL, David of Pawley's Island, SC and Brendan (Claudine) of Rye, NY.; his grandchildren, Gabriella, Michael, John Charles, James, Peyton, Phillip, Brendan Lynch, Devon, Kieran, Aidan, Jimmy, Catherine and Sarah Hanley; his siblings, Joe of Rumford, RI, Maureen Sweeney of Milton, Sheilagh Duffy of Falmouth, Kathleen Perez of San Juan, PR, Paul of Baltimore, MD and Ellen Hanley of Cumberland, RI.; and his parents, John Hanley and Lucy Hanley.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made to the Hanover Visiting Nurses, 550 Hanover St, Hanover MA 02339.
