It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ana Monserrate Monarca of Holyoke, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 3, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Ana Monserrate may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her husband Felipe Monarca; her children, Felix Monarca and Maria Bennis; and her granddaughter Maribel Torres. She is survived by: her children, Edward Monarca, Carmen Cruz and Gladys Monarca Garcia. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home (2049 Northampton St, Holyoke, MA 01040). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at the Forestdale Cemetery (304 Cabot St, Holyoke, MA 01040).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Ana's memory to Women Shelters Companeras.
