He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Schmidt (Koss) and Herbert D. Schmidt; his wife Carolyn Schmidt (Prosser); and his brother Edward Schmidt. He is survived by: his children, Dana Rebecca Kalipolites (Gary), Robert David William (Heather) and Doris Marie Schmidt (Jay Mullen); his grandchildren, Zina Misurelli (Tony), Athena Kalipolites, Brandon William, Dylan William, Richard Schaefer (Elizabeth), Tanner Mullen and Kensey Mullen; and his great grandchildren, Kyrah, Hannah and Montgomery.
