He is survived by: his sons, Newton H. Thompson III (Kathleen) of Medfield, MA, Jeffery S. Thompson (Judith) of Williamsburg, VA, Mark C. Thompson of Hartford, CT and Christopher D. Thompson (Cynthia) of Dover, NH; his grandchildren, Ryan C. Thompson (Kate) of Dracut, MA, Benjamin B. Thompson (Amanda) of Northborough, MA, Aaron D., Kristina M. Thompson of Utrecht and Philip N. Thompson of East Boston, MA; his great grandchildren, Jack C. and Ivy G. Thompson; his sister Norma Cahill of Bristol, CT; his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Donato of Hyde Park, MA and Rose Ann Thompson of Waveland, MS; and his daughter-in-law Cynthia B. Thompson of Bear, DE. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
