He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, Thomas of Sarasota, FL and Elizabeth Dater of Portsmouth, NH; his niece Elizabeth Hope of Yarmouth, ME; and his son Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Sturgis Library in Barnstable or the Mass Audubon Society are suggested.
