He was predeceased by : his wife Cecilia F. Cleary (McCarthy); his parents, James Cleary and Grace Cleary; and his siblings, Paul Cleary and Barbara Travers.

He is survived by : his children, Brian Cleary (Jody), Dennise Piemonte (Paul), Maura Mailloux and Christopher Cleary (Marcia); and his grandchildren, Ryan Cleary (Alicia), Kirsten Cleary, Jason, Patrick Gabriel, Joseph Piemonte, Chelsea and Sean Cleary.
