She was predeceased by : her parents, Felix Torres and Carmen Torres (Rosario); her husband Manuel M. Melendez; and her sister Nellie Baez. She is survived by : her sons, Manuel M. "Manny" Melendez, Jr. (Tara Jablonski Melendez) of Indian Orchard and Carlos "Chico" Melendez of Indian Orchard; her brother Jose Torres (Lucinda) of Indian Orchard; her brother-in-law Victor Baez of Chicopee; her grandchildren, Angel Melendez, Kaila Melendez, Emily Melendez and Olivia Melendez; and her great grandchild Armani Santiago.
