He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Bodwell and Lena Bodwell (Pappas); his wife Geraldine J. Bodwell (Day); his son-in-law Myron Taylor; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Shea of Gloucester, Fredrick Day (Mary) of Gloucester, Margaret McGrath (Robert) of Essex, Dorothy Rizzotti (Frank) of Essex and Kathleen Surette (Lloyd) of Rockport.
He is survived by: his children, Diana L. Taylor of Ipswich and James E. Bodwell Jr. (Nancy) of Haverhill; his grandson James E. Bodwell III; his children, Kendall, Kellan of Alpharetta, GA, Matthew Taylor of Ipswich, Allison Papaefthemiou (Sam), Kaiden, Lilliana of Haverhill and Ryan Taylor (Jessica) of Ipswich; and his sister-in-law Emma Shea of Gloucester. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
