He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara J. Bernstein (Simmons); his parents, Harry Bernstein and Esther Bernstein (Portnoy); and his brother David Bernstein. He is survived by: his daughter Sharon Garde (Cesar); his grandson Alex; his daughter Marcie (Harold); his granddaughter Lily; and his sister Eleanor Rosen.
