He is survived by: his spouse Melvina Johnson (Bradley); his father D'Andria Canas; his sisters, Denise Hillery, Myrtle Brown and Elfreida Christopherson; his grandchildren, Marcus and Elyana; and his brother Frank Hillery. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
