She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Velez and Maria Vargas; and her siblings, Iris, Delia, Julia, Tony, Velo, Pedro, Geño, Maneco (Manuel) and Danny.
She is survived by: her children, Maria, Emilio, Nidia, Jose, Herbert and Oscar; and her brother Herbert Velez. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the McKenna-Ouellette Funeral Home (327 Hildreth St, Lowell, MA 01850). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick Church (282 Suffolk St, Lowell, MA 01854). A burial was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the St. Mary Cemetery (90 River Rd, Tewksbury, MA 01876).
