She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Martins and Gertrude Martins (Lopes); her husband Fernando Joao; and her siblings, Antonio, Manuel, Joaquim, Maria, Laurinda and Luciana.
She is survived by: her daughters, Maria Salvador (Bino) of Ludlow, Susana Cardaropoli (Scott) of Ludlow and Irene Stromberg (Wayne) of Springfield; her grandchildren, Kristine, Peter, Michael, Christopher and Timothy; her great grandchildren, Leslie, Kaleb and Kigan; and her siblings, Hilario Martins and Gertrude Lopes. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 264 Cottage St. Springfield, MA.
