He is survived by: his children, Joao Batista (Candida), Teresa Batista and Carlos Batista; his grandchildren, Michael Batista, Diane Nascimento, Elaine Nogueira, Robert Nascimento, Kate Belair, Kelly Saleeba and Emily Batista; his great grandchildren, Alyah, Alyssa, Eli, Brynn, Mila, Reid and Cameryn; his brother Jack (Irene Batista); and his son-in-law Jaime Nascimento.
