He was predeceased by: his parents, Idia Machado (Santos) and John Machado; his grandson Tim Phelon; his siblings, Mary Nowak, Peter Machado, Jack Machado, Nora Condon of Ludlow, Zelda Nadeau and Diolinda Fernandes of Springfield; and his pet Bailey.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Machado (Brown); his brother Mike Machado; his children, Sue Phelon (Bill) of Westfield, Gail Warren of Ludlow and Jim Machado (Pam) of Ludlow; his grandchildren, Scott Phelon (Courtney), Kelly Lucas (Chris) of Westfield, James Warren of Bondsville and Ashley Warren (Tommy LeBlanc) of Ludlow; and his great grandchildren, Theodore, Will, Charlie, Rhylen, Patrick, Matthew, Daniel and Thomas.
Due to Covid-19, there will be no calling hours or funeral, and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
