He was predeceased by: his father Richard J. Footit; and his daughter Allison Mary. He is survived by: his wife Cathrine Footit (Sowa) of Ludlow; his mother Joan C. Footit (Roy) of Longmeadow; his daughters, Anna Grace of Holyoke and Olivia Joan of South Hadley; his stepson Christopher Musselman (Julianna Iwasinski) of Charleston; his mother-in-law Joanne Sowa of Wilbraham; his brother-in-law Scott Sowa of Lawrenceville, Georgia; and his siblings, Elaine Howes (Don Mientka), Rosemary Lanigan (William), Patricia Real (John), William Footit (Faith), Mary Gentile (John), John Footit (Gina) and Paul Footit (Barbara). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Donations in James's honor may be donated to the James Footit Memorable Scholarship Fund. Donations may be sent to the STCC Foundation and mailed to: STCC Foundation, One Armory Square, Ste 1, P.O. Box 9000, Springfield, MA 01102. Checks should be made payable to 'STCC Foundation, Inc." with a note in the memo line that the gift is in memory of James Footit. These gifts will be directed to the Radiology department.
