He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Fonte (Swain); and his parents, Jack Fonte and Celestina Fonte (Sally). He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Chaves (Randall) and Jacqueline Breault (Michael); his brother James Fonte; his grandchildren, Anthony and Ryley Rose; his aunt Florence Shea (Goncalves); and his cousins, Augie Calheno (Paula), Jimmy Calheno (Paula), Simon and Diolinda Santos.
