She was predeceased by: her siblings, Ana Rita, Gertrudes Rita, Jose Tereso and Maria Rita. She is survived by: her children, Luis Vala (Christine) and Dolores Braza (John); her grandchildren, Gavin and Morgan Vala; and her sister Eliza Rita Neto.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Laura's memory to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).
