He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Alice Smith (Bethoney); his son Matthew Smith (Kristen) of Arizona; his sister Carol Klatt; his siblings-in-law, Judy John, Wayne Petersen, Fred Klatt, Elizabeth Petersen and Michael John; and his sibling's children, Eric John, Jessica (Jeremy John), Garrett Klatt and Kaylyn (Joey Diciacco).
