She was predeceased by : her parents, Ida Newman and Sidney Newman; and her mother-in-law Violet. She is survived by : her husband Michael Selman Lawee; her son Aaron Benjamin Abdullah Lawee; her daughter-in-law Sara Sirota; her sisters, Judith Wolov and Eleanor Page; her brothers-in-law, Michael Wolov and Edward Lawee; her nieces and nephews, Lily, Joe and Shannon; and her father-in-law Leon Lawee.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to either Temple Sinai, Avodah, The Jewish Service Corps, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center or Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
