Barbara Toney Obituary
In loving memory of Barbara Toney of Mattapan, Massachusetts, who departed this world on October 2, 2025 at the age of 96. Barbara leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Barbara touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Boyd Sr. and Mary Boyd; and her husband Alfred J. Toney Sr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Nora Toney, Alicia Toney and Bette Toney. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Twelfth Baptist Church (160 Warren St, Roxbury, MA 02119). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Mt. Hope Cemetery (355 Walk Hill St, Boston, MA 02131).
