He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Philip LaMonica and Clara LaMonica (Carlucci); his wife Carol Jean (Porter); his children, Tina Anderson (Michael) of West Roxbury, Denese LaMonica of Norwood, Philip LaMonica of Framingham and Stephan LaMonica of Fort Lauderdale, FL.; his grandchildren, Stephanie LaMonica, Felicia LaMonica and Patrick McDonald; his sisters, Yolanda Lague and Paula Cambell (Ian); his cousins, Richard Flamboras and Connie Landy; and his brother Hugh LaMonica. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
