He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Goodwin (Jackson) and Cortland Goodwin; and his close friends, Bruce Young and John Fuller. He is survived by: his wife Rita Ann Goodwin (Fetner) of Melrose; his daughters, Heather Marie Northrup (Robert Charles Jr.) of Dracut and Elizabeth Anne Goodwin (Donnelle Milley) of Melrose; his grandsons, Robert Charles Northrup III and John David Northrup; his siblings, Dianne Goodwin of Arlington and Barry Jensen; and his close friends, Peggy Young and Debra Fuller.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home (79 W Foster St, Melrose, MA 02176). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 17th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
