He was predeceased by: his wife Joan "Carol" (Sarni). He is survived by: his children, John P. Lava (Marisa) of Melrose, Reading of Melrose, Susan M. Lava of Melrose and Michael D. Lava of Melrose; his brother Kenneth D. Lava (Cathy) of Chelsea; and his grandchildren, Sarah, Brian, Nicholas, Isabella, Mia, Christian, Jaxon and Ayva. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
