It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William R. Barbato of Melrose, Massachusetts, born in Everett, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 18, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Barbato and Rose Barbato (Diplasido); his wife Carole Lombardi (Lombardi) of Chelsea; and his brother Michael Barbato. He is survived by: his children, Edward Barbato (Patricia) of Tewksbury, Laura Katsos (James) of Peabody and Gina McGinness of Seabrook, NH.; his siblings, Mary Ricciardone, Philip Barbato, Irene Fisher and Catherine Giacchetto; his grandchildren, Brian Barbato, Katie Gonzalez, David Barbato, Arndria and Sean McGinness; and his great grandchildren, Cameron, Ellie, Leo, Mason, Penelope and Kaizer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
