He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Walker Benson and Elsie Vivian Benson (Nelson); his brother Barry Walker Benson; and his sister-in-law Lesley Butterworth Benson. He is survived by: his children, Scott and Leigh; his great-uncle John T. Benson; his wife Joyce Cohen Benson; his grandchildren, Ellie, Owen, Joshua and Ryan; his cousins, Jean Hart (Tom) of Burlington, VT and David Benson of McKinney, TX; his niece Sarah Benson Rydecki; his nephew Chad Benson of Michigan; his brother-in-law Howard Cohen (Leslie); and also, Evyn of Utica, NY. and Park.
