It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lilian J. Zakia of Methuen, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Theodore Zakia; and her parents, William Gunter and Mabel Gunter (Miller). She is survived by : her daughters, Cheryl L. Sirois of Methuen and Christine S. Abruzzi (John) of Hampstead, NH.; her grandchildren, Kristen Bisio (Peter), Matthew Sirois, Todd Sirois, Benjamin Abruzzi, Adam Abruzzi (Julie), Eric Buckheit, Keith Buckheit and Theordore T. Gardner; her great grandchildren, Kayla Buckheit (Savannah), Matthew Bisio, Danielle Jalbert, Gunner Benjamin, Casey Chretien, Juliette Swain, Emma Swain and Lydia Swain; her great great grandchild Alaïa Buckheit; and her son Theodore T. Zakia.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home (233 Lawrence St, Methuen, MA 01844). A Mass was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Monica Parish (212 Lawrence St, Methuen, MA 01844).

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Lilian's memory are encouraged to make memorial contributions to the Methuen Senior Activity Center, 77 Lowell Street, Methuen, MA 01844.
