He was predeceased by : his siblings, John McNamara, William McNamara, Edward McNamara, Mary Gravel and Catherine McNamara; and his daughter-in-law Denise.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley; and his children, James McNamara (Elaine Moore McNamara) of Blackstone, Timothy J. McNamara of Millville, Jane Ferri (Steven) of Harwich and Kevin McNamara (Melissa). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
