He was predeceased by : his son Michael C. MacDonald; and his sisters, Margaret "Peggy" Chaffin and Elizabeth "Betty" Boatman. He is survived by : his children, Revere Firefighter Samuel A. MacDonald of Revere, Michelle A. MacDonald of Revere and Lani C. Miraglia of Swampscott; his grandchildren, Milly MacDonald of Revere and Kayla M. Richards of Marblehead; and his siblings, Millicent C., Cerrone of Manassas, Virginia and Chester C. MacDonald, Jr. (Sylvia). He is also survived by nieces & nephews.
