She was predeceased by: her husband John F. Quirk; her parents, Dr. Francis J. Hand and Dorothy Irene Hand (Daly); and her siblings, Dr. David Hand of Sherborn, Ellen Mastromatteo of Marblehead and Timothy Hand of Jessup, Maryland..
She is survived by: her children, John Quirk (Audrey Korsgaard) of Columbia, SC, Timothy Quirk (Jeanne), Kathleen Quirk (Michael Pasciak) of Needham, Patricia Foley (Tim Foley) of Natick, Kevin Quirk (Karen) and Brian Quirk (Ashley); her sister Margaret Elizabeth "Libby" Miller of Framingham; and her grandchildren, Lucy, Johnny, Tommy, Erin, Colleen, Jack, Patrick, Ginger and Will.
