He is survived by: his wife Marianna Avin; his children, Michael Avin (Elina Goldin) of Marblehead and Olga Lemeshov (Alex) of Ashland; his grandchildren, Abigail Avin, Jessica and Ellie Lemeshov; and his cousin Inna Lebedev. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
