He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Robert S. and Mary York (Conlon); and his siblings, Ann McNamara (York), Sara Tracy (York), Pauline Hennessy (York), Mary Ellen Rogers (York) and Peter S. York.
He is survived by: his wife Mary (Leahy); his siblings, Eileen Hogan (York) of Winchester, Robert M. of Everett, Jeremiah F. of Watertown and William F. of Watertown; his children, Michael R. York (Tiffany) of Milton, Janet Kastrud (Mark) of Marshfield and Sheila Blum (Jared) of Hanover; and his grandchildren, Gus, Charles, Maija Kastrud, John Finnian, Tatum York, Ronan and Hazel Blum. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and their spouses.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lank Cancer Care, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Needham.
