He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Donna-Lee Selland (Gargano); his stepchildren, Jennifer, Emily and Scott Selland; his siblings, Joe (Judy Gruchacz), Mark (Janet Gruchacz), Peter (Meghan Gruchacz), Dave (Diane Green) and Neal (Lynn Fowler); his parents, Richard Gruchacz and Cathleen Gruchacz (Kane); and his nieces and nephews, Abigail, Ava, Blaise, Ella, Mary Louise, Jessica, Matt, Sally, Jack, Laura, Justin and Grace.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Paul M. Gruchacz Athletic Scholar- ship Fund of Union High School.
