He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Sheehy (Fay); his parents, Cecilia Sheehy and Edward Sheehy; his brother Edward Sheehy; and his cousin Thomas.

He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Kester (Joseph) of Needham, Paul Sheehy Jr. of Needham, Alison Sheehy of Needham and Amy Doherty (Tim Flynn) of Needham; his grandchildren, Riley, Lily, Tatum Doherty and Kathryn Kester; and his cousins, Kevin, Gerald and Michael Martin.
