He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Gerda Lanes (Fuchs); his children, Stephan Lanes (Marsha), Donna Holzinger (Steve) and Jennifer Gozlan (late Marc); his grandchildren, Oliva, Harrison, Chloe, Kyle, Abigail and Nathaniel; and his brother Gerald Lanes.
